1. Who we are
Rota3D turns a trip into a short 3D map video. It is made by Furkan Bora Dalbudak, an independent developer publishing as onemillion (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Rota3D apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. Questions: contact@cuspart.com.
2. What stays on your device
Everything you create in Rota3D is stored only in the app’s own storage on your device:
- journeys: stops, place names, routes, vehicles, notes, flags and design settings;
- photos you add to stops, journey cover photos, and the names and photos of passengers you add;
- songs you import for your videos, and your app settings.
We do not run a server that collects, receives or stores this information, and we cannot see it. If you back up your device (for example with iCloud or Google backup), the backup may include Rota3D’s data; that is handled by Apple or Google under your backup settings.
3. Photos, passengers and videos
- Photos. Rota3D uses the system photo picker. The app receives only the photos you choose and cannot browse your photo library.
- Passenger photos. To centre a passenger’s round avatar, the app finds the position of a face in the photo. This happens entirely on your device; the result is used only to crop the picture and is never stored separately or sent anywhere. Rota3D does not identify people.
- Videos. A finished video is saved to your Photos library or gallery only when you create it. On iPhone and iPad the app asks for “add only” access, which cannot read your library. On Android 9 and earlier it asks for storage access to save the file. Sharing a video happens through the system share sheet, to the app you choose.
Please add photos of other people only with their permission.
4. Location
Rota3D does not access your device’s location and does not ask for location permission. The coordinates it uses are the places you search for, pick on the map or import from a Google Maps link or GPX file.
5. Services that receive data when you use them
Some features need an online service to answer. Only the information needed for the request is sent, together with the technical data every internet request carries (such as your IP address, device type and app version).
Apple Maps (iPhone and iPad)
Maps, place search, addresses and road routes are provided by Apple. The text you search for and the coordinates of your stops are sent to Apple to answer. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Mapbox (Android, and some map styles on iPhone and iPad)
Maps, place search, addresses, country names and road routes on Android, and some map styles on iOS, are provided by Mapbox. The text you search for and the coordinates of your stops are sent to Mapbox to answer. Mapbox also collects anonymous usage data (“telemetry”) to improve its maps. You can stop it at any time: tap the ⓘ next to the Mapbox logo on a map, choose Mapbox Telemetry, then Stop participating. See the Mapbox Privacy Policy.
Google (only when you paste a short Google Maps link)
If you import a short link such as maps.app.goo.gl/…, the app asks Google to expand it into the full link that lists your stops. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Sea routes
For long ferry and ship journeys the app downloads a public sea-lane map from GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). The download contains nothing about your journey; the route is worked out on your device.
Purchases
Rota3D Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We never receive your name, payment details or billing address; the app only learns from the store whether Pro is active.
6. What we don’t do
- No account or sign-in, and no advertising.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs of our own.
- No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Deleting a journey moves it to Recently Deleted in Settings, where you can restore it. Uninstalling Rota3D removes everything the app stored on your device. Videos you saved to Photos or your gallery stay there until you delete them. Because we keep no copy, we cannot recover deleted data.
8. Children
Rota3D is a general-audience app. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR or Türkiye’s KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. As we do not hold your data, you can exercise these rights directly in the app by editing or deleting your content. For data handled by Apple, Mapbox or Google, please use their tools and policies. You are always welcome to contact us at contact@cuspart.com.
10. Changes to this policy
If Rota3D starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date above before the change reaches the app.
